Project ALS' Ice Bucket Challenge: Matt Bomer's Biceps Nominate Zachary Quinto's Biceps!

An Ice Bucket Challenge has been catching the social networks' attention by storm for the last few weeks! And the one who benefit most from it recently was The ALS Association, an organization that encourages research initiatives, promotes best patient care and raises awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

The stunt did not start out as just for the ALS Association. Some say it originated from low-key charity drives by PGA golfers. And there's another story that this particular viral campaign initiated from University of Arizona women's basketball coach Niya Butts who was hoping to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

Currently, with thousands of ordinary people, entrepreneurs, top business executives, sports teams and even, high-profile celebrities taking up the Ice Bucket Challenge, the ALS Association has so far received about USD 4 million, which was far more than the USD 1 million raised at the same time last year!

Agent 47: More of Zachary Quinto's Biceps at Comic-Con!

And the bicepstuous Zachary Quinto Comic-Con news just keep trickling in!

"Agent 47" will be at Comic-Con 2014 on Friday 24 July, as part of the 20th Century Fox promo slot in Hall H from 4:20 to 6:20 pm!

A few of us have been wondering if 20th Century Fox will be bringing "Agent 4" to Comic-Con. After all, the action-thriller movie is based on the popular "Hitman" video game, and where else can you find one of the largest groups of game players and genre lovers?

Zachary Quinto To Be At Comic-Con 2014 With Starz's "The Chair"

Starz announced earlier this year that it was picking up its first unscripted reality 10-episode series "The Chair", which is slated for a release in Fall 2014. And best still, they are bringing a slice of the series to fans at San Diego Comic-Con just about 2 weeks from now!

Said to be making appearances at the panel held at the Mariott on Fri 25 July are Chris Moore, Shane Dawson, Anna Martemucci and.... gulp! Zachary Quinto!

I happened to spot the news on Twitter in my very busy timeline, because I was following Emmy-nominated writer Erik Patterson. This was the tweet "The Chair" PR originally posted:

The Celebration Continues For Zachary Quinto's Birthday!

June 2nd was Zachary Quinto's birthday, and as the day went on, several fans posted birthday greetings to him on social media, including the ZQC forum on Facebook.

I hope he saw those greetings or at least browsed through a few.

Last Saturday, Zach was at Provincetown for the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, and the ZQC managed to have an early mini celebration with him during the dinner. If you missed the details, click here for my earlier blog article.

Zachary Quinto (and His Biceps) Gets Birthday Wishes at Provincetown!

It's a rare occasion for fans to be able to celebrate their favourite actor's birthday together with him, but that's what a few ZQC members were able to do this past weekend at Provincetown.

Zachary Quinto's lovely biceps were guests-of-honor at the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival last Saturday (31 May). At the dinner, their owner Zach, looked very relaxed in a camouflaged tee and those adorable geeky glasses (*swoon*). He was accompanied by current beau, Miles.

As you may already know, Tennessee Williams is the playright for "The Glass Menagerie", and the writer spent four summers in Provincetown working on his pieces. Recently, Zach acted as Tom in the critically acclaimed production by American Repertory Theatre, which ran for a length of time on Broadway. Tom was a character Zach felt a great deal of affinity to, and that is one of the reasons why he accepted the invitation for last weekend's dinner.

"Agent 47" Shoot in Singapore: Project Hunting Zachary Quinto's Biceps - Part 2

We have now entered into the last few days of the "Agent 47" shoot in Singapore.

Project Hunting ZQ Biceps continues with fervour from local die-hard fans, and I really hope they manage to meet Zach in person at a suitable time and location before he heads back home. Because if you catch him at a right time, Zach is such an absolutely lovely man!

Before the shoot began, I did try (with the help of ZQC moderator Lindsay Robinson) to request for a little bit of time with Zach through his official channel - just for a small group of local ZQC-ers. However, the word was that the schedule for the "Agent 47" shoot here is a very intense one and there is a high security label on it. So, strictly no site visits were allowed. Also, Zach will hardly have time for semi-official fan-related matters as he has to complete his work before returning to NYC for another commitment.

The "Agent 47" filming is expected to wrap up on May 14 - which happens to be the same day our beloved X-Men folks are arriving. I had been wondering if any of them might turn up for the premiere as both movies are Fox movies. And then, in a local paper called TODAY, we were given heads up about Team "Agent 47" walking the Blue Carpet.

Sooo, will Zach's biceps be there? I hope so!

Anyhow, if you missed the excitement about the filming which has been happening here, check out my earlier blog post!

"Agent 47" Shoot in Singapore: Project Hunting Zachary Quinto's Biceps - Part 1

After filming in Berlin for some time, the shoot for upcoming 20th Century Fox movie "Agent 47" moved to the little island of Singapore earlier this month.

Prior to Zachary Quinto's arrival here, he was taking a short break touring Vietnam and Cambodia. We know this because of his Instagram feed, and of course, who can forget this particular pic of nekkid biceps relaxing in a pool. ;)

If you have missed all the excitement or news about Zach Quinto in town, here's a recap of what our bb's biceps have been up to while he was here.

Zachary Quinto's Biceps Blog Update: A New Look Unveiled!

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to the splashing, New Look of the Appreciating Zachary Quinto's Biceps Blog !

I have been searching for someone who had the passion to help design a new ZQBiceps blog header banner for me for some time. A couple of weeks ago, I was so stoked to have found someone who was willing to do one!

You may know him as Davian Aw, who have been posting quite regularly on ZQC recently.

Not only does Davian and I share the same fandom, we also originate from the same country! Pretty rare in the Zachary Quinto fandom world as statistics may tell you. Call it Quintoistic kismet. ;)

I love doing special ZQ Fan Focus from time to time. I covered Q&A's with one of Sylar's Army's (SArmy) founders Meaghan McBee, and another SArmy moderator, Natalie Wells, who also happens to be a very talented photographer. If you want to read about these fans, head to the bottom of this blog page for the links.

To make the launch of the blog's new look more personal, I've asked Davian to give us a little background of his work and feelings about the Zachary Quinto fandom.

"Dog Eat Dog": Sian Heder About Directing Zach's Biceps and Furry Paws

It is always fulfilling to watch an indie film come to fruition.

After several months in the making, the short film by Sian Heder and Before the Door, “Dog Eat Dog” finally premiered on June 22 and 23 at the recent Los Angeles Film Festival (LAFF).

The project was generously funded by Zachary Quinto fans through Kickstarter last year.

Lindsay was one of the three fan producers of the film, and got to spend a day on location with Zach and director Sian Heder last December.

Therefore, she felt that she *had* to attend LAFF to catch the “Dog Eat Dog” premiere and see how the little film about pet adoption looked like on screen.

Before the movie was screened, however, she managed to catch hold of Sian and her lovely feminine biceps for a few questions:

Flex Those Biceps! It's Zachary Quinto's Birthday!

Cute plaid bday card from BrookHollow.com
Oh, joyous day!

Our favourite bb Zachary Quinto turns a very nommy 35 today!

"Star Trek 2" finished principal filming last month, and he celebrated the completion of the trademark Spock-like hair with cutting some off. I think.

But who actually bothers about Zach's hairstyle?? (Ok. Stupid question, I know).
As long as he still rocks those beautiful biceps, gracious sometimes goofy personality and wonderful acting chops! RIGHT?

So, break out all the glee and go for a digital worldwide celebration of Zach's birthday in your own style.

Go flex your biceps in his honour. Put on a plaid shirt and geeky glasses. Walk around menacingly pretending to slice someone's head out. Show off your Spock ears, or get a haircut with bangs. Wear a rubber latex suit.....

Whatever rocks your party mood.

Or you could just simply send him a birthday tweet or message on his official Facebook page or ZQC website! ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ZACH!

Metallic Elements Added ... Biceps Included

Does Zachary Quinto secretly know about this blog specially dedicated to his very nom-nom-nom-y biceps???

Coz seriously folks, this is twice within the span of a few days that he's shown off those squeezable arms of his in revealing sleeveless tops. This time, they were having lunch and snugly accompanied by a body-skimming turquoise tee. (Source: Zach-quinto.net)

I sit transfixed, staring at the vision on my computer screen. It's a nice way to get my eyes massaged :D In my line of work where you look at figures all day, it's nice to look at OTHER kind of figures *g*

A Spattering of Updates

This week has been chockful of "Margin Call" updates. Much to the delight of us fans!

For those who are still unaware, "Margin Call" is an indie movie about eight people during a tumultuous 24-hour period just prior to the 2008 Wall Street financial meltdown. It is Before the Door's first film production!

Zachary Quinto, who also stars in the movie, has been giving us pretty constant updates on Twitter and Facebook. And when I say pretty, I *do* mean pretty :D

Just look at the pic above. Zach's own self-portrait pic on the "Margin Call" set  in a suit with a night reflection of the Empire State Building. Srsly! Those pretty biceps in a suit! It is pretty as pretty does!

First Days

The first day of school. The first day at work. The first day at a new home.

First days can be terribly exciting... and yet daunting at the same time. First days usually bring with them a wave of changes to one's life experiences.

And so it was, on the First Day of filming in NYC on June 21st for the Before The Door-produced indie movie "Margin Call" that Zachary Quinto tweeted he was too excited to even sleep.

The set call started real early at 5 am and when the first shot began, Zach sent us all a cute pic of himself sitting on a stoop with that much-needed cup of coffee. (Although, I was really distracted by those biceps...yep, I can't help it. :D )

Happy Happy Birthday, Zach!!

Let's all wave our biceps and hands, or blow kisses, if you may, to the handsome birthday boy, Zachary Quinto!

Based on his latest pics-tweets yesterday, bb is still in NYC.

I hope he has a fun and happy birthday time with his friends and family!

If you want to leave him some greetings, there is a Zach birthday tumblr going on here!! Go drop a message there!

BTW, have you seen this really cool Star Trek USS Enterprise bridge cake? CLICK HERE for the short article. See Spock there? Too cute, ain't it!

If you are hungry about some "Heroes" news despite it's cancellation, apparently negotiations are still going up concerning the "TV movie-style" wrap-up for the series, which should appease the die-hard fans out there to a certain degree.

Tim King has this to say about the wrap-up on TV Guide.com. Guess the fat lady could probably still whistle?

Sooooo Bromantic!

Bromances seem to be the in-thing lately.

Although this pervy heart of mine was the most slashy during the days of the "Lord of the Rings" movie trilogy. There was just way too many bromances in those movies to miss! Remember those longing and heartfelt Hobbit to Hobbit glances??

All the familiar symptoms - heart-racing, breath-quickening, synapses-firing and wistful sighs - were revived again when I watched the episode, "(Up Against) The Wall". (NB: Additional words in title courtesy of moi). That episode just about canonized all things Petlar. Peter and Sylar as a pair was simply hot, Hot, and HOT!!

Fun, Feasts and Tattoos!

Oh what interesting lives the Sullivan Bro. carnies lead! Never a dull moment there. The only thing dull was goody-Claire-who-can't-be-killed who was still moaning about the same Daddy issues from Season 1.

I am talking about the 2-hour "Heroes" opener this week of course! Lots of motives revealed and heavy-breathing sexual overtures - thanks to lots of shirtless Sylar! (I luuurve youuuuu writers!! *muah!*)

I liked that they did not over-kill the emo-ness of Nathan Petrelli's passing away. It was portrayed with sombre dignity enveloped by that undeniable understatement of grief. I have to give kudos to Milo for not playing it too dramatically. His eyes semi-red and almost always brimming with tears; that quietness when he said "I have a love-hate relationship with roof tops" with a half-sad-smile - was just ace.

Sylar Hungry, Sylar Nailed

*narrows eyes* I am beginning to suspect the "Heroes" writers are up to no good when it comes to Sylar. They seem to be turning up the Sylar-bad-assness a few notches in the past two weeks' episodes.

In "Thanksgiving", Sylar feeling very STARVED, made me feel very HUNGRY too. Watching him dig into that pie, makes me imagine all things nom nom nom. :D If you are not convinced,

Sylar was also being very naughty kissing Mommy Petrelli. Oooh. Me envious. O_O

And as for this week's "The Fifth Stage" -- yes, I am indeed *very* aware that Sylar Got NAILED. Peter, damn it. It was suppose to me doing the nailing!! *pout*

Well Suited Surrender

After having epic Retro Black Hat Sylar and the mash-up of S1 Heroes with a S4 twist last week - an episode which I enjoyed tremendously - I felt a little bored with this week's "Shadow Boxing".

"Once Upon A Time in Texas" felt like soul food. Kudos to
@natiejay for his awesome directing work. Credit must be given because it was his first directing debut too! The flow was almost seamless and I felt wistful again about the distant memory of S1 Heroes. I was so impressed with the episode that I sent @natiejay a tweet with my compliments.

This week's episode was full of Sylar win although I was bored with the Claire and Emma segments (psstt writers... can we have more of the carnies PLEASE). Indeed, I was very bicepstually pleased. The downside of this was that I had difficulty concentrating on the rest of the storyline whenever Sylar's molestably-furry arms appeared. So don't let me go on about the other delectable scenes, like those which involved romp-able Urban Outfitters bedsheets and what those of us on Tumblr would call... extreme Pantene hair porn.

Temptation, Temptations

What a cruel cruel way to start a "Heroes" episode.

Slay the fangirls (and fanboys... equal opportunity here) dead with a scorching Sylar-Janice sex scene within the first 40 seconds.... and then when they haven't quite recovered, revive them and get them all gleeful with Sylar slouching drunkenly-suggestive-like-so on a comfy red sofa.

Have to admit, I was way too distracted when those lovely biceps reappeared!! And how they appeared too! With that suave signature hair porn move! By then, I was - of cause - already a useless wet puddle when the chest and the curve of that lean back came on screen. Where's my favourite paramedic?!!?! It would have been far safer if I was watching this episode in a hospital! :p

Caffeine and Pro-Zachs

What's your Poison?.... Mine's Coffee. It's been an almost life-long love affair. No coffee, syzzlyn ceases to exist. Brain goes ___________ x_x

So when I see Coffee and Zach, the combined dose of caffeine and Pro-Zach spikes up my heart-rate by 2,000%. It's that stimulating. (Oh.. sshh.. I do not care if all this data is medically unqualified!)

The last time that happened to me was during the Las Vegas Star Trek convention, because Zach barely at 2 hours' sleep the previous night, and he was on a high caffeine diet probably even before the Celebrity Breakfast until his Q&A Panel. Zach sipping from Coffee cup... *THUD*

Here, I see TWO cups of Coffee and Zach, then well, well.... I'm not only all wired-up like a high-powered electric fence, a ZQBiceps Blog post also miraculously appears.

All that adrenaline doesn't quite hinder me from yet again, admiring Zach's wonderful multi-tasking abilities and toned arms. I am beginning to suspect that frequent jaunts to his fave cafe bar Intelligentsia, and carrying all that java helps build up biceps muscles. I knew there must be more healthy uses for Coffee. -_-

In any case, for those who have been to Intelligentsia, what's so special about the coffee there?? syzzlyn wants to know!!!

More pics of Coffee and Pro-Zach at Accidental Sexiness!

PS: "Heroes" Season 4 begins Sep 21st in the USA! Have you seen this behind the scenes video for the new season?? Check it out at NBC's "Heroes" page!
