A Kiss, Pauses and Lots of Blood

Pardon me for not putting up a new blog post for more than a week. I was still recovering from the eww-ness of Sylaire and getting used to emo Sylar.

Probably the only reason I could tolerate either was Zach's sad, disconsolate (but very sexy!) voice, and how he played Sylar as more world-weary (if a serial killer could be weary) than totally-whiny-emo. Thank the stars for that!

Helping Hands So Powerful

... that the fandom responds!

A flurry of activity arose the last couple of days to support various charity drives in bringing much-needed financial support and aid to troubled post-earthquake Haiti.

In typical Heroic fashion that is so expected of them, the cast and crew of "Heroes" lovingly and ardently put their voices out there (in their websites, tweets, Facebook pages, etc) to support their "family member" Jimmy Jean-Louis - who is Haitian - and to publicize the ways in which we can assist Haiti.

Jimmy is very active with charity projects in Haiti, so it was sad when we heard that his fragile homeland has now been destroyed by this disastrous event. In fact, for the first few days, he was still looking for his parents. Fortunately, he has now since heard from them.  (Refer to theODI.com for the CNN news article.)

Fun, Feasts and Tattoos!

Oh what interesting lives the Sullivan Bro. carnies lead! Never a dull moment there. The only thing dull was goody-Claire-who-can't-be-killed who was still moaning about the same Daddy issues from Season 1.

I am talking about the 2-hour "Heroes" opener this week of course! Lots of motives revealed and heavy-breathing sexual overtures - thanks to lots of shirtless Sylar! (I luuurve youuuuu writers!! *muah!*)

I liked that they did not over-kill the emo-ness of Nathan Petrelli's passing away. It was portrayed with sombre dignity enveloped by that undeniable understatement of grief. I have to give kudos to Milo for not playing it too dramatically. His eyes semi-red and almost always brimming with tears; that quietness when he said "I have a love-hate relationship with roof tops" with a half-sad-smile - was just ace.

From Ommmmm to Lean Muscles

The paps must have got wind of Zach's yoga haunt. In place of the constant Zach-Noah walking posts, I've noticed that his yoga mat has been making more appearances than his cute furry companion these days!!

And oh, to be his yoga mat. Carried by those nice ZQ biceps! If you wonder how you could go about building up not-too-bulky arm muscles, some nice abs, and lots of core strength while still attaining peace of mind and focus, yoga is it. (I highly recommend pilates too!)

I go for my yoga classes at least twice a week. I wish I could attend more classes but I'm unable to shuffle away my other commitments. To those who are unaware, there are many different kinds of yoga - ashtanga, hatha, vinyasa, bikram, kundalini..... I even recently attended one called tapas yoga. And no .. it sadly didn't involve serving us some tapas (like a ZQ one.. nom nom...) while we were doing poses. Tapas means "fire" in Sanskit and the session was meant to create heat or "fire" within our bodies through breathing exercises combined with the asanas. It was an interesting class to say the least.
